External Testing

UIS students take the Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) test annually beginning in Kindergarten. MAP is scored on a continual scale throughout the grade levels, providing easy-to-track growth and achievement throughout the years. MAP is a computer-based, adaptive test, meaning the questions vary in difficulty as the test seeks to hone in on exactly what the student has mastered and is ready to learn.

UIS is also an official testing site for the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT). If you would like to take the SAT at UIS, please consult the schedule for dates and register via the College Board website.

UIS provides Advanced Placement exams for UIS students enrolled in AP courses.

“The fact that UIS is here has meant that we are able to stay in country and do the ministry that we believe God has for us ... We have been so blessed by the school, the fact that teachers care and make sure our kids are looked after. This culture is passed down to the kids at the school and the kids care for each other. [Our son] thinks it’s the best school he has ever been to because everyone genuinely cares.”
